Gain valuable engineering work experience through paid industrial COOP internships.

Put your engineering knowledge to the test during experiential learning opportunities, such as lab work and design projects, that are built-in to the mechanical engineering curriculum.

Join student teams working on the design, analysis and fabrication of mechanical systems (e.g., off-road vehicles, planetary exploration rovers, etc.) for participation in engineering competitions.

Pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering at Laurentian University has been pivotal in both my professional and personal development. The program focuses on open-ended and project-based learning, both in and out of the classroom (i.e. SAE Baja, capstone design project), that lead to having a very competitive, hands-on skill set upon graduation. Being able to connect with the faculty on a personal and academic level allowed me to gain more than just grades from my experience.
