This course involves the exploration of the health care system, inter-professional relations, health care policy, national and international maternity care, ethics and risk management. It is usually taken concurrently with the Community Placements: Maternity Care System course. The goal is to demonstrate knowledge and participate in the critical analysis of topics relevant to midwifery practice and complement the student's placement experiences. It is also intended to integrate prior profession-related experienced in earlier courses. This is a graded course. Pre-requisite: MIDW 2004. Co-requisite: MIDW 3094. 3 cr.
