Contemporary American Literature

This course considers the major developments in American literature from the mid-twentieth century to the present. The course explores major texts and movements, including the rejection of High Modernism, the rise of minority writers, and the development of postmodernism. (Lec 3, 3 cr) Prerequisites: 18 university credits. Students may not retain credit for both ENGL3485 and ENGL3487.
